John, the reason for the "thumb hole is to give the ball some orientation and it needs to be covered when delivered. If not, a two handed bowled deliver the ball "upside down" and get two different reactions from the same ball. Also what about "Palmers" who then put their thumb in for spares.

Mick Why is it that most of the best right handed bowlers (they tend to be ones with a high rev rate) all seem to want to bowl in the same squad? Surely, this would be a disadvantage in the later games in searching for oil in the heads. Cheers Dinesh

Totally agree EJ. Talking to Robbie yesterday, the event is going to COST him money to run. He's not charging for lineage and putting all the entry fees into the prizefund. Hopefully there will still be a tournament next year.
