went bowling today and tried to adjust my technique slightly... this time the oil pattern was on a similar angle but the point where the oil lines meet was next to the middle finger hole... was bowling a lot more consistently and smoother... sending the ball from the left over to the 2nd board...

I have been doing a bit of reading about cleaning and maintaining your ball... I have a Raw Hammer Doom and so far i have just been wiping it after each shot with a cotton towel... and then every now and then i use a cleaning solution to give it a good clean... is this enough to maintain...

okay cheers! im just not clear on the drilling side of things... so do you think based on the oil marks,etc... that the drilling could be not suited to a 2 handed with my revs etc... and making the ball react weird? or is it still possible that it is my technique that is causing it? or is it...

lol! cheers Michael! i have a suspicion that when i am releasing the ball my arm is slightly bent... should my arm be fully extended, taking the full weight of the ball just before release?

spot on about the splits/leaves! was frustrating cos it seemed to hook in so nicely and then it was rare that it actually striked....

hi, i just had a quick question about the markings on the ball. i have a hammer doom and from what i can see there are 2 markings. 1 is the pin which is a filled white circle... and what is the other (small circle outline indent in ball not too far from the pin)...??? is it the PAP? cheers!

okay... i went out and bowled 2 games today and things went much better this time... bowled a couple of strikes that hooked nicely and didnt seem to be running over the holes! what is a decent bowl speed? i was bowling between 20 - 24 km/hr (i think it was Km's and not miles? it was at village...

okay... well where is the axis that its supposed to spin on then? i was under the impression that the spin comes from the finger tips... if you flick up with your finger tips then i would have thought that it is going to spin along the axis where the holes are... this is something i am still...

i tend to agree... but a friend of a friend told him that apparently some of the pros are doing it now and that they can get better scores doing it that way??? sounded a bit odd to me!

okay cool! yes i was avoiding buying a wrist support based on some of the reading and watching on the net i have done... the index finger pressure makes alot of sense in keeping the wrist straight! cheers - will give it a go!
