    AMF Brisbane Grand Prix Circuit

all i can say is that at least amf has picked a half decent centre to hold the QLD Cup this year

    SA CUP format!

think about it... if the top 8 get a bye to start, doesn't that make it a total of 40 qualifiers, of which 32 are real people?? also springs to my attention that there is a possibility that the 2005 SA Cup champion could earn less for winning the event than other qualifiers. * SA cup...

GARDEN CITY LANES TO CLOSE FOR ALL THE RIGHT REASONS

i just wish Zane would be able to do something like this with some of the many centres down here in brisbane.. there's too many for bowling to succeed well. congrats to Zane and everyone involved

    STIKEZONE or AMF

while this would be great, i could see prices dropping. the company who now owns AMF australia also own Dreamworld up here on the gold coast... and if i recall an adult day pass costs about $50... so if that's anything to go by.... we can dream, we can wish, we can all hope and we can even...

    Suspicous Pre-bowls!!!!!

i know at kedron they have conditions where all score corrections must be changed by a staff member at any time. still not sure yet as to what happens if that rule isn't followed. can't say i've tried to bend the rule yet to see what happens.

Hardest & easiest Lane conditions in Qld?

ok im sorry mate, i didnt mean to be that harsh. all i was trying to say that if you were not a tech like you are now, then you wouldnt realise the amount of time and effort the tech in that centre do put in, and maybe (just maybe) you might still be saying the lanes were tough and sticking up...

Hardest & easiest Lane conditions in Qld?

isnt it amazing to see what a difference a few months can make. if i recall, one junior bowler (who is not jnr anymore) quit bowling at kedron last year after putting up with so-called 'crap' lane conditions because they were like inconsistent or something. now the bowler in question is an...

    7 - 10 Conversion

spared 7-10 four times.. once on those brunswick machines with the flappy kickbacks one day i remember practice spare shooting with the back row on the deck.. hit the 10 pin and left just the 9 pin only.. also on the brunswicks with the flappy kickbacks

    Rule confirmation

what if a pin hits a sweep before it moving, and then it bounces off and hit another pin... then what?

    Weribee Cup YOUTH ODDS

let's see... maybe a spot on LEFT flank, or perhaps even LEFT on the bench!

    Weribee Cup YOUTH ODDS

wouldn't it be great to see a Vic win here. after last season results, surely Melbourne, WBulldogs, Carlton or even Richmond could use someone like George in their team. probably the only thing that could knock off the mighty Lions in 2004!

    2004 Junior Redcliffe City Open

interesting choice of day for this tournamnet.... if i do recall, the centre which I worked for was in a bit of trouble for opening normal hours on that day. that was back in 2002 i think. as a result, last year we went back to opening at 1pm. so my question here is how can AMF get away...

    2004 GREENSLOPES CLASSIC

graham, i think you might find the Darren 'Sing' in question may be Darren Suna. don't quote me on that though Jason

    LEGENDS TO CLOSE

It's such a great loss to see one of what I would call Aussie's best ever bowling centres to come to a close. I hate to see any centre come to a close really, but is truly a great and terrible loss in the bowling community. I admit I've only been there a few times, but from those few times...

    1/2 Grand winner take all

Jeff, George Yes guys, now that I have looked at it a little more closely, it does look a bit exy in terms ppg. (price per game) At the time, all I was doing was doing my job by advertising a new tournament that another employee had set up. To me it looks like a good, quick tournament...

    1/2 Grand winner take all

Evening all, I'd like to take this opportunity to apologize to all. The previously advertised price of $95 for the tournament is actually incorrect. The fee for the event should be $75-00, and is an error on my behalf before hand, and not the centre's. Once again, the winner take all...

CANNON HILL CUP - 6TH SEPTEMBER

Once again, a top effort from the blokes in charge of AMF Brisbane. Good to see the AMF Brisbane Circuit starting to head back in the right direction. A cheap tournament that most bowlers can afford, with a prize fund based on 50 bowlers, should have no problems reaching that figure. The...

AMF SUPER SIX #4 - NEW SOUTH WALES OPEN

Thanks for the reply Graham, it was just interesting to note actually. Looks like the NSW Open will be a huge event once again this year. Already a big list of names rolling in. The question I pose to you now is why put a cap of the number of entries for a successufl tournament? I...
