    Handicap for Walter De Veer

I am so pleased to see that common sense has prevailed and that WDV will remain a handicap tournament. I agree whole heartedly with Morwell's post as I wrote a similar email to TBA when the original decision to move to a scratch tournament was taken....... it would have been tragic for the low...

Gus, I am sorry that I can't be there this time due to committments with Targa on that day. I hope to be bowling in the next tourny. I am sure the skins will be as successful as last year. Good luck all. John P

    H.T.T.C's next tournament

Paul, The State Team Challenge is scheduled that weekend in Moonah, Sat & Sun. I would have thought that it would have been booked by now and would have appeared in the booking sheets at the bowl.?????

    Hand Position

Hi Grim, Thanks for the feed back. I can't emphasise enough how important the pendulam swing of the arm is. You should try and let the weight of the ball be the reason for the swing, it's when you take over and try to control it that inconsistencies start to creep in. It all sounds very...

    Hand Position

Hi Grim, Was surfing the different topics on this site and saw you still have no reply. For what it is worth, I can offer you my feelings. I have been bowling some 30 years, although getting a bit long in the tooth, I have averaged 200+ last couple of seasons, so hopefully you can consider I...

    Great League Teams Of Moonah

Fudge Club Hi All, I was rather hesitant as to whether I reply to these posts seeing that I am a member of the Fudge Club as some will see it has being "up ourselves". I apologise to those people. But I must say I do get a real buzz being part of a group of bowlers where someone often is "on...

    Results....State Teams Challenge Part II

What an enjoyable weekend's bowling. I am sure all the teams heading off to Sydney next month appreciated the chance to bowl under tournament conditions. I felt the handicaping system used on this occasion made for a much fairer competition and resulted in the result being in the balance...

    ROLL, ROLL, ROLL...SPLAT!!!!!

Oooh how quick they are to kick a man when he is down....ha ha! I actually thought it was not too bad a shot, felt good off the "FINGERS", thought it had a rough chance to strike, or at least leave another ringing 10 pin like a few in the first game. But alas....the 3 pins looked to be set...

    Another awesome moment!!

Cheeky young brat! Your dad might not REV it up like the young guys....still for a guy who is closer to 60 than 50... he did alright in the last season I hear. Who was it that beat all the young ones for the high average in the centre's strongest league with 201.5? Just think how lucky you all...
