AMF Clayton should be up and running by about Easter.

    New AMF centre at Clayton.

If Sumo is correct then it will be right opposite Monash University on Blackburn Road just south of Duerdin Street. Telstra was originally going to build an office tower on the site but abandoned the plans when they didn't get the National High Speed Broadband tender contract. I was wondering...

Dream Bowl Palace - Men's World Championships

Awesome establishment. The slide show allows you to get a feel for what it will be like for those attending the world champs next year. Pretty impressive fittings. No chance on seeing something like that here though.

TBA Ranked events - its official!

Firstly I am with George on the demise of the SPC. I think putting all your eggs in one basket (Aus Masters) is a backward step for our sport and only time will tell if I am right or not. As one who spent eighteen months bowling around the country in just about all the ranked event a couple...

    New AMF centre at Clayton.

I've heard rumours that they are going to try to push us league bowlers at Chaddy over to that centre as they want Chaddy to be strictly a social bowler scene. Someone please correct me if they have heard something to the contrary!

asking for a show of hands...

Wayne I think most of us would like to do just what you are professing from this thread. In fact a lot of us already are by looking to bowl in Sports Leagues rather than on plain easy to score on house conditions. The problem with what you are professing though is that it now would cost me...

asking for a show of hands...

Like Troyza posted: there is hope out there as there are a lot of bowlers who want to bowl in Challenge or Sports Leagues that lay down a pattern that make the bowler have to work to maintain their strike percentage. There are a lot of bowlers out there who have turned away from the sport...

    what a bunch of turkeys..

Wayne contrast this to the Moslem members of our community going through a fasting period before their big celebration of Ramadan and we live in a very diverse world indeed. I remember a time when we over here wouldn't even know about both Thanks Giving or Ramadan so the world has become a...

WARNING to anyone wanting to bowl ECCC

Jase thanks for catering to my request. Andrew yes I believe it does make a difference as each state deals with the ECCC in their own way. Thus just because this particular issue exists at present in QLD reflects little on what happens in both NSW and VIC the other two states involved in the...

WARNING to anyone wanting to bowl ECCC

I'd like to request that this thread be moved to the QLD forum as this is a isolated state based related issue that has nothing to do with the ECCC itself and so this event should not be slandered on a national open forum because of it. I have been involved with the event for more than 20 years...

    2009 AMF World Cup results

AMP finished in 15th and Sonny Ruguerra in 24th after the round of 24. Walter Ray has moved up to fifth after another 1800+ block and needs another great final 8 game block to make it to the show.

    2009 AMF World Cup results

Hey guys looks like your predictions may be going south as far as Walter goes. Here are the results after 8 games. Both Trots and Sonny have moved up but Walter seems to be struggling a little. 1 Michael Schmidt Canada 267 1880 235.00 210 8 2 Choi Yong-Kyu Korea 249 1878 234.75 208 8 3...

    BOWL YOUR WAY TO VEGAS!!!!!

Sensible decision John. I guess this time of year is not that good for tournament events, even ones offering the incentive this one does?

    2009 AMF World Cup results

Like to say to Trots and AMP to keep up their good work and I'd also like to pass on my best wishes to Sonny Ruguera who is also just slightly out of the 24. Seems I might have a reason to pull your shirt out of the closet again hey Sonny.

    Standing sheets to players

Look it is clear that they said that to save having to print out the sheets. I would go with Wayne's idea of taking it through official channels. If they want to maintain their lane accreditation and keep serious league bowlers they will soon wake up to themselves now won't they. As they...

    Dunn Shield 2009

Sorry guys late scratching from Chaddy side: Bernie Grueso out due to work commitments and Ceasar Zamora promoted from manager to bowler as first available reserve. This makes Roger Quiambao first reserve and possibly now our manager. Hope this is the last.

    Dunn Shield 2009

Hey Joe Having just seen the draw for the weekend I will just add that Chaddy could be a contender for leader in the clubhouse after day one and then on day two who knows what could happen.

Rachuig - What cheeses you off?

Having bowled in the event twice with both times being away from home I too know the qualms people have about costings to represent your state. My first one was in Townsville and I was called up as a reserve so had a very short time to come up with the funds to cover the costs compared to the...

How to shatter a bowlers ambition

Having been on both sides of this situation I know there is little you can do at the time. If they are truly a bowler though they will eventually see the justification in the decisions that were made and be able to accept it for just what it was (the best decision for the team at the time)...

LIke to wish the Victorian Team good luck in this years Rachuig. I'd also like to send a special cheerio to the Aztec lanes contingent in the mens team. Go Andy, Paul and Darren and win it for Aztec lanes.
