    Live Streaming from Cyprus

At $2600 you would buy new kit when you got there. That is alot to expect a non-funded bowler to pay.

    Homemade PowerHouse "WAVE"

I have seen that cook-well device used for so many different things and none of them for cooking. Plenty use them as the heat source for home made coffee roaters.

    What keeps you coming back?

After not bowling for near 24 years, it was like coming home. Fell in love with the sport all over again. Never really fell out of love with it, life just got in the way. All the new gear is great, can't get enough of it. To much to learn and try, not enough time to do it. You look accross...

    What promotes bowling better?

Hey Androoooooo, Would golf get televised if they were playing for $10k. Probably not. If you want more people playing you need pay a bigger purse. Then the TV will follow. But still, it is great for the ladies to get a great run on centre stage. And for once they could see the lane conditions.

    Toon's Totalbowling Rant

Hi All, I see this site as bowlers having a chat and sharing some stories. For in depth bowling questions I find myself searching Bowlingchat, or talking to some of the gurus locally like Mr Doust. Not a bad thing.

Help with PAP / New Drillings

Hey Toon, I went through a similar thing when I started bowling again. I started with a Scout for that reason. Maybe you could pick up a real cheap second hand ball rather than drilling a fresh one. Chuck a few games a get a base line PAP. Are you going to buy a spare ball? That would be the...

    2012 NSW Open

Well done Michael. As we said, your goal was top three, then anything can happen and it did. Nice bowling with you today.

Will anyone beat Storm's Jason Belmonte and Dominic Barrett this weekend?

Well, Belmo cleared out on every one today. But, once the top three are announce it is one game, so anything can happen. Belmo was clinical in sqad b, very impressive.

Will anyone beat Storm's Jason Belmonte and Dominic Barrett this weekend?

They will be tough to beat, but fun to watch. First challenge is to make the first cut. With pin fall carrying over some of the field will be tough to chase down unless you make the play-off at the end of match play. Enjoy the ride regardless of the result.

Does something need to be developed to separate the League Bowler from the Tournament Bowler?

Hey Toon, We ran a league down our way that was on a variety of Kegal Challenge Pattern. Not overly difficult but certainly harder than the House Shot. Was it liked by all, no, just the bowlers that bowl tournaments and Sport Series events. most averages were under what they normally throw...

    Belmo challenges idiot

Hey Jason, Good on you for sticking up for a young guy that you are mentoring. Be proud of yourself for that. But, the same result remains, no matter how hard you try, you can't win with stupid people, also known as washed up wrestlers. Luckily, you hang with the smarter breed, known as...

    Hobart Cup 2012

Could be that the old guys use experience and not muscle? Paris is high scoring if you can carry. Getting to the pocket is easy enough on the 47ft Paris. Carry is hard, missing one spare is very costly when the scores are high. The NSW Open will be tough on this pattern as the corners at...

    Sad state of professional bowling

When did eating become a sport? It is sad to see these comparisons. The only good thing, and I am looking optimistically here is that the NSW Open has a few more international coming out chasing our local event which is good for us local bowlers to watch and learn from.

Should bowling be an olympic sport ?

Hi Luke, My mother in law ( being Greek) believes they should go back to all events being held in the nude. So maybe we will only get bowling into the Olympics if nude bowling is taken up. But, as JD has said, "you would need to wear shoes, cause that would be wierd with out"

Should bowling be an olympic sport ?

Hi Guys, I did a quick search on bowling and the Olympics. I came a accross this article: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/650885-when-will-sense-prevail-on-the-issue-of-tenpin-bowling-becoming-an-olympic-sport

Should bowling be an olympic sport ?

Sadly it was an opportunity not taken a few decades back. From my understanding a several million dollar fee was required for entry, it was not taken up and bowling has since been omitted. The story of why was posted in a thread about 12 months ago, Jason Doust gave the account that went...

    Im New 2 Bowling

Hi Cambo, I understand, when I started bowling again just on two years ago. First ball was a 14lb, then bought three more and found issues with carry over time in some centers. Then stepped up with four 15lb balls. Found the carry was better but struggled to be accurate with the 15lb's over...
