    Rico Layout

I don't mind the Rico Layout, mine is drilled based on the Brunsnick method. Pin was about three inch. very large balance hole drilled through the PSA as suggested. I use it as my spare ball mostly as it is predicatable and does nothing but roll up. Video here of my results with the ball...

Analysis and Keys of the 2-handed style bowler

Hi All, There has been a number of post listed about the two handers, people wanting to know more. Whilst having a look at the BowlingChat Coaching post I came accross the following video put together by one of their Forum Members. 9:01 minutes, worth watching if you want to bowl two hander...

    Is Bowling Really Easier Now?

Hi Terry, That is a record I think most bowlers would love to have, "more wins than 300's by heaps" heck, I would love to win just one event! It is also a statement that sums up todays game really. Natural ability is no longer just physical as years gone by, it now includes the technical...

    Is Bowling Really Easier Now?

Hey Toon, I have had this conversation to many times with new and old bowlers. Having spent 24 years out of the game, leaving bowling pre-super balls and synthetic lanes and in an era where I saw only 6 x 300 games bowled in 16 years, coming back 2 years ago to all the modern equipment like...

    Scotch Brite

This is not a bad link: http://wiki.bowlingchat.net/wiki/index.php?title=Rico Each to their own on the Rico, some love it some hate it. I use mine as a spare ball, why did I drill one? Just to see what it does. Youtube Rico drilling, plenty of examples.

    Scotch Brite

Hi Rychenroller, I spent a lot on balls in my first 12 months back in the game, playing with layouts, weights and surface. When I bought my first Morich ball Jan 2012 I found that the support offered was great. Sent in my video, with details I had. They gave me my release spec, a bench mark...

Absolutely. But surface is your final tuning tool you have. But if the layout is simply wrong, all the surface in the world will not make it perfect. If the layout is perfect, the surface will make it better.

And changing the tyres is the easiest of the motor sport reference you can make Andrew. Can't do anything once the rest is built. So, if its wrong, its wrong, all surface in the world wont fix it.

    Scotch Brite

Good points by all. I have to say I absolutely love bowling in the modern era. Look at the technology and understanding you need to have these days to compete. Years ago, all balls were pretty much the same and as long as you were accurate you would win. These days you can have a...

    Scotch Brite

Hey Andrew, Good point, that is the opinion I have been given in the past. The other point made is that Scotch Brite work well dry. The Saair get clogged easy without water. I would have thought Abralon would be the same and loose its grit level quickly. The NEAT pads look ok. What about...

True, and I give my most heart felt apology for doing so. I usually use the phrase "G'Day all" I used gents only due to the gents responding to my question. So to all my fellow bowler please accept my apology for my over site and poor judgment in only addressing the gents and not the wonderful...

Hi Gents, After many hours of digging around I have come to a few conclusions as to why users of wrist devices buy and use adjustable wrist devices. Fixed performance type wrist supports are not available in Australia, are more expensive than the adjustable types. Example of a fixed device I...
