    Possible Layout help

I like the way AMF do it. Their range gets an F rating out 100. Regardless of the ball the cover is F rated. F60 is dry lane, F90 is oily. Takes the guess work out of the covestock.

In recent years the only adjustable device I have see used in the U.S was by the Korean lefty, DR KOO I think he was nick-named. All others you see are fixed, example being Scroggy. Pete Weber used an adjustable device in the late 1998ish period, cup only. Yes the seniors use them, like me...

All good Michael, I just have a dislike for the big wrist devices. All the old brands are around still from years ago like Masters etc. Still the same designs. But they cover to much of the palm of your hand. Plugging every ball is not an option to cater for a wrist device. Still, Carbon...

For sure Michael, But they are pretty big and baulky still. The unit I wear now is small and light, but allows me to make some release changes myself ( not device ) but restricts the area of pain, the cup to un-cup. I have thought about making a copy of the old red cobra type, but out of...

Will not work, the NSW SS ran one last year on request and 14 bowlers turned up. I could see a two ball event maybe working, but in all honesty, why restrict the bowlers, it is aready hard enough to fill the field for a lot of events.

Hi Michael and Andrew, Fair call, The device I have is fixed but the front paddle maybe changed out. Not that I ever change it, it is just flat no cup as I use it as a support. I might take up the challenge of a totally fixed device and see what the difference is. I will take a look around...

Hey Guys, So to summarize, most would have no issue with a wrist support being worn if it was of the fixed type. For example the traditional wrap around type, or something like the old Scorpion fixed device? But most have an issue with people that wear wrist release devices that offers cup...

Hey Wchester, I thought Scroggy lost respect because he is a lefty;) . I got that wrong. But on that topic, I have read how much time Mike Scroggins has put into developing his game around the wrist device. George is the same, it is an artform that needs to be practiced and learnt. Simply...

Thanks Toon, I personally could not care either way. If it's in the rules personal opinion does not matter at all. The main thing for me is this, if we are all enjoying the game and having fun. Who cares.

I might start an argument here Andrew and Michael, this is not my intension to do so. I have no problem with adjustable wrist supports so long as they are not adjusted during a frame, even if the rule was set to a block for events. Just like ball surface adjustments. I leave my wrist support...

G'Day, I recently went from no support, to wrist support. Two reasons, first being I have RSI from years of I.T work and typing. I know it sounds soft, but somedays it just plain hurts to bowl. The second reason I chose to wear one is exactly the reason Toon just mentioned, my shot with the...

For sure Brad, as you get older you need to think harder. The younger guys just give it a fist full more and over power the lanes. I just don't have that kind of shot in me. To old and busted. So, for us older folk it needs to be about repeating the shot as the area for error is smaller...

Which Internatonals are coming to the Australian Masters?

Hi Androoo, There is talk of Tassie being sold off to return Australia to surplus. So maybe by next month you will be international. Just like we sold off N.Z in 1842-ish.

It is nice when the practice pays off, keeping it simple is always best. Odd as Brad with the drop off, It is all user error, when I get to the really broken down end of the day I tend to not go deep enough. Try to play the comfort zone for myself and stay safe and hold on. The better move...

Yeah Thanks Andrew, I was already drepessed by my last four games dropping 100 pins and 14 places. Next time I might turn up for ten games. All user error though, threw it bad and got what i deserved. You got close Brad, George was prety much coasting for the event, I did not even see him...

    Belmo's track

Thanks Cow, Poor explanation late at night on my behalf. Happy to be corrected always as that is how we learn. Measuring 1st track ring to 1st track ring is what I was referring too. The measurement directly across the surface of the ball not through the ball. Typically, zero degree axis...

TBA membership should not be an option. Bowl a league be a member. I have posted many times that I would not be concerned if my membership fee went up and the extra went to advertising and national teams. I also stated that in the survey on the TBA site. Every one in the sport will benifit...

    Belmo's track

Hi Brendan, I had the pleasure of bowling with Belmo out at Orange. The first thing you do is spend the first two games shaking your head in amazement as to what he can do with a bowling ball. If memory serves me correctly his first track ring is fairly high and would be in around the 11...
