Bowled a 300 game. TBA wont recognise.

Some people just hope things will go away Jason. The Northen Country Challnege has it's Annual General Meeting tonight (Sat 6th). You can just bet that this topic will be a feature.

Best of luck to the two Jason’s in Panama

Just a question. Is the Leo DiBenedetto (in third place)the same one who was a NSW Central Pesidents Shield player back in the '90's? I know that Leo moved to the US and at one time held a PBA card and in fact 'placed' in at least one Pro-tour event.

Bowled a 300 game. TBA wont recognise.

Many people reading these posts may ask themselves "whats all the drama over one 300 game being approved?" Well it appears to me that many of the bowlers in this region are asking the same question as I am. "What if had been me? If after almost half a century of trying to bowl a perfect game...

Bowled a 300 game. TBA wont recognise.

I have carried an ATBC, TBA or whatever you want to call it these days for around forty five years but now I'm having second thoughts. It seems to me that OUR beloved govening body is finding more and more 'technicalities' to knock back awards and yet still increase our dues. It has been asked...

    Leigh Young - 300 Game!

Well done Lee. Just heard about your great game. It takes a while for news to reach all the way up here in NSW. Vickii and I are real proud of you mate. We know how long you have persevered at the game. All our best to Pam...we miss you guys! Wal Brooker

    TBA announcement regarding Melbourne Cup

Wasn't it only a few short weeks ago that the promoters of MTC were asking (on the TBA section of the Forum) week after week what the average bowler gets for his/her TBA membership dues? Does this hint of a 'payback'. Probably not but this action does appear somewhat heavy handed.

    Christian Purdue 300

Congratulations Christian. I had the privilege of watching the game plus all of the other outstanding scoring on the day. For the record Gosford won over league leaders Campbelltown in one of the highest scoring events I have witnessed in many, many years.

    Slow Bowling and Lane Courtesy

I dont know about the PBA's rules regarding giving way, but when I was at the US Senior Open in June it took three hours for each squad (with one on a lane) to bowl six games! Every squad was the same...but I guess you have to make some allowances for the over 50's.

    ball cracking

I was in the US in July for the US Senior Open at the Suncoast Casino. One of the talking points amongst the pros and also a topic in the local Regional Bowling news papers was the cleaning and associated cracking of bowling balls. It apparently has been found that if a 'modern' ball is cleaned...

What is the Greatest Bowling Feat You've Ever Witnessed?

I remember in the late 1970s when I was travelling home from the Melbourne Cup with the great Joe Velo (he had the trouphy in his hands of course). When I asked him why he looked so down he replied that "later that week he was scheduled to have a heart bye pass operation and was a little...
