Australia v World All Stars challenge - who will win?

I think we all know these bowlers have the talent and all have proven their skills on the world stage. This event is about trying to push Tenpin Bowling into the public eye, not about the bowlers struggling their way to a 200 game cause the condition is tough and people out there going, gee i...

Shorts - It's the Short Straw for Blokes!

I find the rule the Arafura classic has adopted quite acceptable. Neat shorts allowed for qualifying but must wear tailored pants during the final. I feel this is enough to portray the professional image we are looking for as most spectators and media coverage (if they come) will be watching...

    Role models for our sport

Just adding to your post George, having guys like Belmo and yourself out there improving the image of our sport and making yourself available to people to talk to, sign autographs etc is great to see. I must say, even though Belmo and yourself were the major drawcards on the weekend, it was...

    Buying Direct from the USA

Goto your local pro shop as the others have said, you will find that they are pretty close, if not less than buying a ball and having it shipped here. Shipping a single ball can cost anywhere between $100-$150 US to get a single ball over here. On a side note, has anyone ever had warranty...

    Thankyou AMF

Terry Whilst i agree that the nationals should move around the country (because a lot of people use nationals as a holiday and it is not very cost effective for the majority of teams), i would be quite happy for the nationals to stay in Rooty Hill for the next few years for several reasons...

    Thankyou AMF

Cant agree more with all the posts. Was certainly the tournament of the year and the best nationals i have attended. The staff, especially Natalie and Matthew were always there to be seen, talking to the bowlers and making sure things were running smoothly. I for one would like to see some sort...

Spotlight on bowling on ABC Radio tonight

Great interview. Belmo is doing a world of good trying to get the profile of our sport into the spotlight. Well worth a listen. Also thanks to Lynne for letting us know about it. http://www.abc.net.au/sport/more/audio/

    2010 Australian Adult team announced

Michael You have some very valid points which would make a huge difference in our sport moving towards the future. One thing Cara did mention in the meeting after the Aus Rolloffs is that she wants constructive feedback/ideas of all sorts to consider, especially from bowlers like...

Best Leauge ever in your centre

Have to agree with the Cow, that Triples league was good and very close, the way the teams were developed was like a draft system, i cant remember the ave cap but i think it was like 590 or 600, and then it was scratch bowling. Also Friday night singles at Warrawong, in its heyday about 40...

    PBA International Oil Pattern Program

With all the talk about oil patterns recently, and how people are talking about league patterns needing to be more challenging, what do people think about this. Could it be an option?? International Oil Pattern Program The PBA is offering international bowlers a chance to compete and...

    Lane conditions at National events

Robbo, the thread was actually started a week ago by George, about how decent bowlers, no matter what the condition is, are good enough to adjust to what is "on" the lane, not adjust to how the lane is "meant" to be playing. Yes i agree that it is good that the house advertises the shot, because...
