You didn't speak with a patent lawyer at all Pete? If I were investing a sum of money into an idea like this, I would've sought advice from an Intellectual Property Lawyer, to see how I could prevent someone else ripping off my idea.

This place definitely isn't the hive of bowling discussion that it used to be. That's for sure.

I would say that someone else though of a very similar system to Pete's & submitted it to the committee before Pete did.

I didn't bowl, but I'm a fan of the app you guys made. It was real easy to follow the scores while I was working.

PBA tried heavier pins, made no discernible difference. Remember the gold pins they used? They were heavy pins. They found about the only thing it changed was the pinsetters had a bit of a harder time picking them up. EDIT: Spelling

For anyone who doesn't want to read the wall of text above, in short, Brunswick have sold all the bowling centres to Bowlmor/AMF & are loking to sell their bowling equipment businesses by the end of this year as well. No more big B in the bowling world.

So, 90% of the people who bowled at Keon Park this last weekend, reckon that it wasn't the world cup pattern that was laid, because it played nothing like it did in Russia. How many people in the field bowled in Russia last year? Wasn't there just 2 people? I'd like to know how 90% of the field...

Unfortunately Chris, I'll have to withdraw, due to the Future Stars camp being on the same day.

I reckon there will be 4 300's, it will take 230+ to cut & I reckon the winner will be averaging in the 240's, pushing a 250 ave.

I tried watching the XGB video this morning on my way to work. Much better production, although there were still some snippets of bad audio. I managed to watch about 15mins of the show, before I got bored & decided to not watch any more. From what I saw, it looked like the bowlers were enjoying...

I think the lay-by of the entry fee is a good idea. I was surprised to hear that balls were checked & bowlers had to register the equipment they used, I've not seen it at any of the other ranked events I've bowled over the years. I think it's a good thing.
