Except how would that work if someone bowls half their tournaments or even leagues on sport shots, their average will not be on par with someone who bowls exclusively at "ditch". Therefore if the sport shot bowler averages 180 and then bowls a handicap tournament and consistently shoots 210...

I think Davybaby was talking about high league averages, not individual. Correct me if I am wrong.

Andrew I don't think it is meant to be policed, it mentions that it is not compulsory so I think the idea is to give bowlers something to aim for, without pushing it down their throats. Centres aren't required to lay these conditions if they don't want to.

I haven't picked up a ball since October but up until then I can't say I've got a favourite anymore. Ebonite is probably the best for me, but I haven't had a favourite go-to ball from any company since the V2 series, in particular the V2 Sanded and V2 Particle.
