    synthetic pin deck off spots

Interesting, 50 plus is far more than i would have expected (But yeah, I haven't done anything with synthetics). We still get our fair share for a 14 lane center though (I dunno, about 10-15 plus on our busiest night) & I always thought that ours would have been awful compared to others. Gotta...

    Olympics

Bowling 'was' in the commonwealth games, right? I don't see why it shouldn't be allowed into the olympics. The playing field IS fair to all participants. If you don't read what ever pattern they lay down, & bowl better than everyone else, then of course you're not going to deserve a gold medal...

    2008 Northern NSW Open

Actually, apologies for the double post, but could you put my name down for B squad as well? Thanks James.

    2008 Northern NSW Open

I talked with my partner, & we won't be attending the country challenge presentation, so I guess I'll give it a go. Is C squad on friday full yet? If not, you can put me down for it. Cheers mate.

    synthetic pin deck off spots

I lightly scuff our dots (& the immediate surrounding area) with scotch bright & left over lane wash, works well if you do it once a week or so. We're still on timber-everything.

    Make your own bowling ball.....

That explains the rings hahaha. He would have been crazy to have used fresh plugging, considering a set is about $450 - $500?

What kept the scores down at Melbourne International Tenpin Cup?

What board was the OB on? Sounds like a huge amount of accuracy was needed here.

    Make your own bowling ball.....

I think it has that effect because the first few throws are quite awful... the later ones look ok. It must be a very aggressive core, or very dry lanes considering ball plugging isn't reactive resin.

What kept the scores down at Melbourne International Tenpin Cup?

perhaps its due to the weather? I believe temperatures can have quite an effect on the way lanes play. I know how oil holds longer because its viscosity is increased in colder temperatures, through winter.

    FINDING A HEAD TECH

A tech doing their job would never be hiding in his 'backend' area. There is always a job to be done, even if the machinery doesn't break down. The work lays in keeping ahead of the trouble, parts checks, cleaning & lubing, etc. If you're like me, you have about 5 times too much work with not...

Easy question. How many leagues bowl in your centre?

How much would bowling a 300 game mean to you?

As in that other topic, i love the last line of that article. It explains what some of us see as 'realistic opinion'. & it hasn't said that 300 games mean nothing, before someone jumps on me. Just that in todays game, the bowling balls can tend to outweigh the skill of the bowler.

A Real Life Feel Good Story!

Excellent. it reminds me when my friends & I used to train under the disco lights - we would always come out bowling fairly well the next week because the impaired vision (our center is basically black with barely glowing lanes) gave us an extreme sense of feel.

    Rough Bowling Balls strike out

"We want player scores to reflect their physical ability and not let the technology outweigh the skill of the bowler," says Klompken. lol. Where was this 2 weeks ago? eric, ball resurfacing won't change if the resurfacing is done correctly. Putting 50 grit screen on your ball then bowling it...

    Just curious

This would be excellent. Is there anything special I need, or can it be done simply by changing the wiring? I would think it would need a mechanism to cut off the signal to the bell until I've reset the specified lane.

    Question time...

It would go on the lane he bowled on, I believe.

Yes we already know he is an idiot & he quit working there quite a while ago. But my original question was over looked :/

    Just curious

How do you react when social/league bowlers repeatedly hammer the pit bell signal button? Does it make you frustrated? Do you shrug it off? Just curious. I used to take it really bad & deliberately wait a bit before i fixed their lane. But now if it gets too bad I just turn the bell...

    Your first 600 series?

People don't need to bowl 600's to average high 170. I was averaging mid 180's before i started shooting my first 600's. I agree with what Rhs_rule300 has said, once the first two are in the bank, leave them there & don't think about them. put a mental veil over your self & believe you're...

Easy question. How many leagues bowl in your centre?

We have... 12 leagues bowl in our center including the disabled league & the 2 bumper leagues. [edit], 13 including our new phantom league starting this week. Not bad for a 14 lane center I think.

    Bronze, Silver and GOLD patterns!

I like how you think. You put it in a nut shell with your previous post, but these people who have thrown a 300 on THS, ( & can't realise the fact that it is about 500% easier to throw 300 on it ), compared to throwing one in a harder atmosphere / condition probably have a lot of pride in the...
