I completely agree with you, & would pay what ever I had to pay to be a member.
However, do you see every single league bowler paying $400 a year to bowl league? We have a league in our centre which refuses to pay $30 a year for TBA registration, let alone a proper fee.
I think it would be a great idea for TBA to have its own centres. I figured by members you meant every day bowlers - however I don't see me or anyone else in my centre standing up & opening a bowling centre anytime soon simply because it is too expensive unless you have millions of dollars...
I don't know... Bowling centers are very expensive to run. A core problem with bowling today is how many centers are run by staff who don't actually know bowling. How can you provide a worthwhile service for insane prices when you don't know anything about bowling? (insane prices needed to make...
The idea would be 1 league per center. But the idea is flawed as I stated in my original post thanks to different patterns per center anyways. As I said before - it'd be cool if it was realistic.
My opinion is that the current ranking system measures tournament activity more so than ability.
I mean, obviously it takes ability to earn points. But as it has been pointed out - what about the bowlers who can't "make it" it tournaments, but deserve to be higher on the rankings? It's...
i was told one peice of really simple advice, maybe it'll help you out. when releasing your ball, try & have your thumb point outwards ( at release point... similar to a hitch hikers wave?) you'll probably see immediate results, but it will feel funny for someone who isn't used to being on the...
Sorry mate, thats wrong - pretty sure a ball can legally have 12 or 11 holes drilled into it or something? Air release holes are allowed. I can't remember if that's the actual answer, but I know it's some phenominal amount because we all had a discussion about it.
Eh, let them do it. 95% of the time subconciously they'll be following the tempo of the music they are listening to, once a song changes, along with the tempo - OOPS, they wonder why they didn't strike. O: Advantage to their competitiors really.
I don't reallly understand why there is so much hate. Someone tries to present a new idea, & gets eaten alive for it.. k.
I think the point people are missing, is that this item is obviously not aimed at elitists. To me, it seems like it is more aimed at people who really don't care that much...
You are completely right. I by no means know very much about this sport (other than my own game, everyone knows their own game better than anybody else) which is why I make an effort to take a glass half full approach towards everybody associated with the sport. If that mindframe was wide...
I have several motiv & lane masters balls, I like the way they roll & hit, compared to other balls I have bowled. My only complaint about lane masters is the surfaces are THAT hard, they are near impossible to resurface by hand, anyways.
I bowled with a rarely used ebonite ball tonight & was...
A jig is generally something you mount work into.
In this case I believe it's a do-it-your-self drilling jig for balls, using a standard hand held drill.
I'm impartial to which direction this sport takes - we're all going to be on the same playing field in the end.
As for the generation comment (& I'm not meaning to insult anyone when I say this, sorry Jim) perhaps todays generation are smart enough to use minimal effort to achieve results -...
AMF in australia is a franchise run by Ardent Leisure. AMF in america is technically a different company, and controls ball distribution I believe as well as run their own bowling centers.
