Wayne, Previous owner for some reason decided it wasnt necessary to have league bowlers .... or at least wasnt prepared to cater for them - eg decent conditions etc etc. So as a result, most if not all leagues stopped (not exactly sure of what leagues were still in operation - but certainly...

Andrew, The hobart guys will be able to tell you a little more accurately, but I would estimate that the airport would be approx 25kms from the bowl, as for a taxi Id only be guessing but maybe $30???? Im sure the Hobart guys will jump on and correct me if Im too far out on the above Cheers

Hey Brett, Hadnt thought of it that way ..... so unless we had access to the actual pattern that would be used for Rachuig (which I would be thinking would not happen! doh!) your right doesnt really matter where rolloffs are. Agree that the best team available is the goal Im not looking...

Feral ... Im not sure if you were being sarcastic or questioning the call? All I will say is we have had some great bowlers from tassie with some great achievements but it's not really a big call .... his CV speaks for itself; FIQ medals, Aust Masters, All Star Teams, heaps of Rachuigs...

not consecutive, but ash riley bowled two 300's in the one night some years ago down here in tassie (not sure of exact figures but we would be talking 12-13 years ago i reckon) which was a fair effort at the time considering equipment etc) still is a fair achievement actually.

Yes, just passing on my best wishes to the team also. This is the time of year I miss bowling the most because Rachuig trips are always great. Most importantly I hope the team goes well, but also hope each individual has a great tournament. And dont forget to have fun and drink copious...
