OK thanks for the clarification I wasn't sure as it did clearly state "preferred" on the confirmation letter. Hope it reaches a decent temp tomorrow before we have to bowl :rolleyes:

Can anyone clarify the female dress code for me? On the entry form it seems to imply females must wear skirts, however on the "Confirmation of Entry" letter I received it states that skirts are "preferred". So can anyone advise which it is? Considering our recent temperatures it would be nice...

Brenton, the comments you have posted are the most positive and encouraging things a wannabe like myself has ever heard from someone at your level of the bowling industry. It is always good to hear the thoughts and experiences of someone who has achieved like yourself. Good on you!

Scratch is definately the way to go. Once roll offs are over you have months and months to train and practise and improve your teams performance......... gives bowlers an incentive and motivation to attend and work hard at those compulsory training camps.

If my knowledge of the history of De Veer is correct then it was originally designed to be a stepping stone to Rachuig. However along the way this event with rule changes etc became a farce. For example the very rules brought in to prevent sandbagging encouraged it, and to be honest I for one...
