Well I actually bowled in the tournament. It was difficult due to being to dry. Pattern advertised at 26ml of oil played like 10ml, could be due to only 1.9ft of oil on the first 9 boards on first pass. Hopefully wont be as bad in SA on same pattern. Not sure why mentality is seniors need no oil...
Looks like it's going backwards not forwards.
Will be interesting to see if TBA will sanction leagues in these centers. Not sure how if it's impossible to make some of your spares?
It's not about the value or the competition it's the principle.
We currently give 8 pins per game to females who are established bowlers and capable of mixing it with the best. These females will bowl if they get the 8 pins or not.
You should give 8 pins per game to everyone who is a 185 and...
Why do ladies get 8 pins per game?
I am a 192 average bowler on a house shot. Not sure why I need to give the women who represent the state and Australia 8 pins start when they already average more than I do on harder conditions.
What a joke, why would I want to start 50pins behind someone who can average 20+ pin better than me a game before a ball is even rolled.
You have lost my entry.
Exactly my point Mario, why do these bowlers need handicap when they already average so high it is not fair on the lesser bowlers who are not 60+.
If the tournaments are classed as scratch that is the way it should be I don't get any handicap when I bowl the AO or Melbourne Cup and have to bowl...
I think you missed my point Steve.
You are a seasoned bowler who has bowled for many years and are capable of bowling well over a 200 average.
Why is it fair that you get handicap because you are over 60 when I struggle to average 190+, this just widens the gap and does not seem fair to me.
I think you also need to take into account peoples ability. Does not seem fair to give someone handicap who is well capable of averaging over 200 when you have younger people who are 180 - 190 average bowlers not receiving anything. Does this also mean we need to start looking at handicap based...
