Queenslander Zane Que came close to recording the tournaments 3rd perfect game during game 6 of the NSW Open at AMF Dee Why in Sydney tonight.
Having just finished Game 6 at 9:45pm, Que recorded 20 strikes in a row - 9 to finish game 5 and the first 11 in game 6, leaving a 10 pin (video in multimedia) and a 299 game to catapult himself back into the Top 16.
Martina Smith from SA looks likely to be the only qualifier in the Womens division from this squad. Smith was on fire earlier, shooting 278, 256, 235 out of the blocks (769/3), but has since slowed the pace a little currently settled in the Top 8 in 3rd place.
Qualifying is expected to be completed around 11:15pm tonight.
