Sorry about your DAM luck
The NSW Darrell Holt Committee proudly presents the 2010 John Laver Memorial Scotch Doubles to be held on Sunday the 11th of July with a check in time of 8.30am to start bowling at 9.00am.

Yes it is the Annual running of this Competition held each year in memory of the services that John Laver gave to Both Darrell Holt and Walter Deveer restricted tournaments for NSW and the dedication he showed to the sport of bowling for Restricted class bowlers.

A copy of the entry form is attached but basically it is a team tournament where 2 bowlers bowl together in order to attain the highest game they can in order to be victorious.

Basically the rules in a nutshell of bowling in a Scotch Doubles format is that 2 bowlers bowl the 1 game, the first bowler bowls the first ball and if a spare is required then the second bowler must spare this shot. This continues till the end of the game, obviously if the first bowler bowls a strike the second bowler gets to bowl for a strike in the next frame. Alternative shots are taken throughout the game.

All details are in the entry form attached and the 2 bowlers must not exceed a combined average of 370. The cost is a miserly $30.00 for 8 games in this format with the chance to get a free entry in either Restricted or Classic rolloff (not including nomination fee) for the 2011 Darrell Holt challenge.

So come on down and have some fun
