This is a great opportunity to recognise the efforts and achievements of our athletes, coaches, administrators, bowling industry representatives and other parties who conribute to tenpin bowling in Queensland.

Thats a great idea TBAQ! I attended the TBA ones and was thinking how QLD could have their own. Look forward to it!

I recommend that any interested in either attending or wanting to nominate bowlers for these awards read the information kit thoroughly.

This is just one bit I found confusing..............

All Award category winners will be recognised after the TBAQ Inc. Annual General Meeting. The presentation is scheduled for 27 March 2004 at Sports House Milton commencing at approximately 1.30pm. All nominations will be recognised through the TBAQ website in early March. A list of the category winners will be released on 22 March. ???

TBAQ Inc. will invite all nominated bowlers and representatives to the ceremony in order to show support and recognition for the sport and the tenpin bowling industry in a united front. The bowling
community will also be invited to witness the Inaugural TBAQ Sport Awards.

The expansion of the TBAQ Sport Awards will be based on the support from bowling centres, bowlers, volunteers, staff within the industry, administrators and parents.

Please feel free to contact TBAQ by phone 3876 5400 or email tbaq@tbaq.org.au if you have any enquiries regarding the presentation of the 2004 TBAQ Sport Awards

Considering that Qld ATBSO were the hosts of a very successful 2003 National Championships at Kedron, why is it the state body has not included a category for Seniors???? :(

Broni you are absolutely right and it's being fixed now.
Several Seniors have already pointed out the error of our ways!

Edit : George What part don't you understand?

I think he doesnt understand why the winners are being made public a week before the presentations.

Ok. This year is the first year and we don't really have a suitable vehicle to use for the presentation. After this year, and following the publicity and feedback we hope to have a presentation evening. We feel it would be a little disappointing if we were to hold the announcement until the actual AGM and none of the nominees were to show. Lets face it an AGM probably doesn't hold the same appeal as dinner low lights and good company. By notifying winners in advance at least some of them will probably show. I agree this year the surprise element may not be there, however we have made a start please bear with us.

:D nothing wrong with those arrangements first start out of the block - BUT - when the time comes to make arrangements for next years' dinner, can you please consider something a little more affordable than the $90 per head arrangement that our National body had?? We bowlers are already putting our hands in our pockets enough, and with a realistic pricing, you will get bums on chairs!!!
