Seeing people are starting to think the formats of our majors are getting a little 'stale' i thought i'd throw an idea or 2 in
Day 1 Qualifying
4 Six game squads, entry $120(maybe $130) per squad, max 3 entries per bowler(if you had brackets only 3 total entries in brackets allowed, assuming you had a $10 and $20 bracket in each squad) re oil after second squad.
Day 2 Finals
Top 16- PBA type elimination format, wether it be best of 3 or 5 games or 3 or 4 games total pinfall matches doesn't matter as long as its different to the 15-16 game grind everyone seems to be tiring of.
Or...
Just copy the PBA regional format, whole field 8 games, top 1/3 of field(or top 30 or 40 suit yourself a bit here) bowl 5 games(maybe 6) then cut to 16 for the eliminator style finals.
