SPORTS SERIES ROOTY HILL RESULTS

Hi all
The large field had a good go on the tough pattern at Rooty Hill.
Congratulations to Sam on bowling the first 300 in the sports series in the last game and consolidating his win.
Congrats also to alex Rivera in winning the BOWLERS EDGE sportsmanship award (thanks Jason Doust), nd to Mary-Lou, Angie & Jen in winning prizes for the ladies.

The aim of the series is to give a long term improvement for your game not just scoring on the day. the results for some of the bowlers certainly show improvement.

Troy's right. Playing on those shots will make you a better player, especially when you can pick up on what the better players are doing.

I'd like to congratulate Sam Cooley for a convincing win on Sunday. His last game was on 1 & 2, which were a little different. A bit like the Time Warp. "It's just a jump to the left..."

After throwing the front 9, then having to wait for a pin to be re-spotted for another player, he got away with the first in the 10th, caving in the 4-10, threw the 11th dead stroke and while Sam got the 12th ball a pinch left, he also got it super clean off the hand. As I shouted "HOLD!" and Eric Jang shouted "CARRY!" it did both, slapping the 10 pin quite convincingly. A really nice 12th shot, showing good foul line instinct.

Nice work Sam.
