There is absolutely no truth to the rumour.
The Nationals will be bowled at Strikezone Illawarra as scheduled.

Rumours are just that " rumours " and bowlers should contact their
TBA State Managers to verify if these rumours are true or not. It is not good pointing the finger at any one without knowing the full facts. The Nationals are going ahead and it will be a big success with Seniors, Walter De Veer and our elite bowlers converging on Illawarra for the 3 week period.It should also be noted that New Zealand will be there again representing their country so our Nationals are starting to have an International flavour about them.
So all we need now are the bowlers to enter & perform & enjoy our Nationals. Remember these Nationals are put on for all bowlers regardless what averages they hold to find the best in the various divisions being held. Regardless if you are an 110 average bowler or that magical 200 plus average bowler, we should all be there to support these Nationals, it is one of the few times that we can all mix and socialise and bowl with the best.

Yes Rumours are Rumours.
The Story I have heard is that apparently Illawarra Strikezone isn't a sanctioned bowling centre meaning that if any bowlers bowl a sanctioned score (300, 299, 298, 700+ Series, etc) it will not be recognised.
As far as I am aware, the owners of Strikezone don't want to pay the fee to get the centre sanctioned, however apparently TBA are suppose to be talking to the owners or centre management to try and sort the issue out. I have heard that if it isn't resolved that they may end up moving the nationals to Cambelltown or something.
Please note that the above is only from what I have heard, it ISN'T set in concrete. Therefore it is probably totally untrue, I would be very suprised to see the nationals moved.
Just thought I may as well add to this thread what I have heard.
See those going to the nationals at the end of October.

We are a sanctioned centre, and every high game that has been thrown has been sanctioned...

I find that very hard to beliueve when you'll see many of Strikezone's to9p bowlers with records shown on the TBA site. Just thought I better put that to rest. Although TBA still hasn't put my 300 up from March this year.

Squads are filling fast, if you are yet to lodge your entries we suggest that you lodge them as soon as possible in order to secure your preferred squads

Like I said Rowey. It was only a Rumour that I had heard.

Anyway it was only a rumour that I had heard from a friend that I bowl with and she heard it from someone else when she was at training the other day. Where this rumour originated before that, your guess is as good as mine. What had been said originally has most likely been lost due to the message travelling around and people only hearing what they want to hear and passing part of the message on.
