On behalf of the Sale and Area Tenpin Bowling Association and Sale and Area Supabowl, I would like to thank everybody for their support in this event. I would also like to thank our sponsors and also the media for the great coverage again this year.

A big congratulation to Paul Trotter (who I have just been told broke the trophy =D> =D> - they don't make them like they used to) for winning the event. He put up a good fight on a challenging condition and proved what a great bowler he is.

From the locals point of view, it was great to watch these bowlers to see how they operate and it was a great learning curve for them. Once again the sportsmanship was also a great example, especially for our juniors.

Lastly I would like to congratulate Gunther Czmok on winning the Vera Judges. Just as well that he and Joe didn't know that there was only 1 pin separating them going into the last game !!! It was a bit disappointing to see Joe drop down to 3rd but great for our young gun Andrew Morris, who really deserved the 2nd place. My only message to Joe is "What a great handicap bowler you make" :multi: :multi:

Before I forget, there is a few more congratulations in order to the following winners:

The Storm Ace was won by Terry Silva

The raffle was won by the following people:

1st place Vanessa Cosh
2nd place Belinda Howard
3rd place Cassie Staudinger

Once again congratulations to all and hope to see you back next year with hopefully a bigger and better tournament again.

Liz Fabian-Czmok

Well done guys on running a successful tournament

Well done to Trotts and Grumpie on their wins

I think Trotts summed it up pretty well in saying that it was good to see the city bowlers prepared to travel a couple of hours to support and bowl in these tournaments. It is a combination of both city and country bowlers that will keep these tournaments growing and continuing on year after year

Great to see a number of local bowlers make the finals of both the graded and the hcp divisions.

All in all well done guys and hopefully things get bigger and better next year

Great event guys and I firmly believe that this tournament should be on every year, we need these smaller events to encourage the local bowlers to participate and have the chance to bowl with the big boys. It's not very often that a couple of local juniors can get to bowl on the same lanes as winners like Paul Trotter or old guns like Dave Rogers(still has more hair then me) and Ray Perkovic and up and coming youngsters in the likes of Joel Lovegrove ,Lance Dyer & Terry Silva. It was also good to see Jodie Motta make the cut (the only female) and then finish in front of her brother, something he will have to live with for awhile.

See you all again next year.

Oh nearly forgot Liz, it was great bowling in the Graded division, mainly because I went home with some cash, in fact I made a profit not bad for an old fella. :D :D

I'd just like to say it was a great tournament, and yes I did enjoy beating my brother it doesn't happen very often!
I'd also like to say well done to Dwaine Rumble who not only finished last but did it in style by bowling 60 in the last game! When you're down by that much why not have some fun and try to take out just 7 and 10 pins?!
I'll definitely be there again next year.

xxJodiexx

hey joe

i didn't know you could purchase handicap

you'll have to tell me where, so i can go buy some

well run tournament, getting better each year, i just hope more people get behind it next year. we need these events to keep us interested ones going.

look forward to coming back, and falling into the cash, well done to everyone who did.

Craig
Didn't you know Joe's a handicap by just being there.

Joe you can pay me later thanks mate. ;) ;)

Come on Jodie you are being modest

First you made the State Youth Team

Then you made the All Stars at Country Cup

Then you cleaned him up at Sale Cup

All you need is that 300 game and the score will be 3 - 1 ;)

Craig, its easy to purchase handicap, $20 a week to bowl at Morwell will get you around a 180ish ave and 15 handicap!!!!

And lets get it straight here, i love my sister but i hate to lose,

> there was no 'youth team' when i was that age
>At the same country cup i averaged 20 pins more
>Sale cup last year i placed 3rd, this year cashed and had a higher pinfall
even with after handicap!!!

so i think with the country cup medals i have the score is well and truely in my favour!!!! ;) :D

Well there is no love lost between Brother and Sister espically when it comes to bowling.

It is good to see that my sidekick is still alive and well after failing to front up against me last Wednesday night on the new and improved Morwell Conditions. (Jase for a man of your talents your $20 might get more than a 180 ave)

Hey Woza

I think he's scared of you :D which is suprising considering your such a mild mannerd ,Timid ,quiet spoken little bloke !!!

Cheerz
Kevin
