Thanks to Go Bowling Ashmore for hosting the first venture to the Gold Coast for many years for the Twin Tour. The co-operation we received was much appreciated and we felt quite at home after 'taking over' as we usually do. Thank You. Congratulations also to those who travelled and did not get lost, who made it on time and phoned if they were NEARLY late - you are very well trained. TA!! also to the Team as usual.
A different condition once again challenging all the bowlers but the final breakdown was 32 from 70 entries in the Balls and 11 from 25 entries in Puffs bowled average or better. The overall entering ave. was 193 for Balls - ave. bowled 192 .... Puffs entering ave. 178 - ave. bowled 177.
Congrats. to Aden Roffey (242.7 hcp) who has been in form lately and put in a good performance at Kegel Qld. Open last weekend. In the Hcp. div. Aden finished ahead of Mitchell Bird (231.9 hcp) and Adam Harmsworth (230.6 hcp) who is improving all the time. Good to see some of the 'old' stagers in the $$$ also -no names mentioned here so check the results !!!
Local Chris Caddy totally dominated the Scratch division with a big 239.1 ave. ahead of Mitchell again, on 221.9 and Shane Hurst 219.4.
Local knowledge also paid off for Katrina Carr who recorded her 2nd Tour win with 226.3 ave. Brit Houldsworth shrugged off a big Saturday to finished in 2nd (220.7 hcp) and Chell White a good 3rd (216.6 hcp.)
Winner of the Asian Senior Womens Masters in Guam in 2011, Julie Hird was the Scratch leader. Her 208.1 showed her class as it was the only 'over the card' ave. for the Puffs. Krystal King with 197.7 tried hard to catch Julie and Bek Meads took 3rd place with 196.1.
The Scratch Pool attracted 27 entries with a pool payout of $540 in total - a good bonus.
Please find attached results and for those of you who cashed, please contact me if you wish your prizemoney transferred for you. Otherwise, I will keep it for your next Tour stop.
