AMF- NSW Region is proud to announce the the first NSW Tour event for the 2005-06 Season.

The Bankstown Open, will be held on June 25 & 26th at AMF Bankstown Bowl.

This is the first of four tournaments that will form the 2005-06 NSW Tour. These tournaments offer bowlers low entry fees, re-attempts, sudden death elimination finals and a chance to share in the Tour Championship prize money.

Entry forms are now available at your local NSW-AMF Centre or from the Tournament Entry Forms section of Total Bowling.

Well we won't be bowling, the East coast roll offs have been on the calander long before this, so why would you think of even thinking of putting it on the same day. Unfair to make bowlers choose between both

It is unfortunate that this date clashes with the East Coast roll-offs.

When deciding on the 4 dates for the 05-06 series we took into consideration numerous factors, mainly, the ability to successfully run a 4 tournament series that does not interfere with other National Tournaments and the new NSW Youth Tour.

I wish you and all other participants attempting to qualify for the East Coast Challenge team all the best, and look forward to seeing you all at the 2nd round of the NSW Tour at Mt Druitt on the 17th & 18th of September.

Regards

See the problem with that is that for the last 14 years The East Coast Cup and the State Champs have been in the month of June........

Just because it is not a TBA event doesn't mean that you should not have taken these dates into mind when deciding to put this event on.

Yes there was a lot of people having there say when AMF (MLE) decided to cancel the old Grand Prix Series..... But yourself and others that have put this together just have not considered the bowlers.

This has been topic for debate at most of the leuages that I bowl in, and YES people are choosing not to bowl because it's just not that easy to get from penrith to bankstown in 15 mins.......
