MITTAGONG will host the cream of the state's ten pin bowlers on Sunday.

The final of the NSW Ten Pin Bowling League will be held at the Highlands Tenpin centre.

Nearly 12 months of the competition will boil down to a Shellharbour team taking on Campbelltown in the decider.

Twelve competitors are set to play at the Mittagong centre.

There will be three formats across the 12 lanes - singles, doubles and team (three players each).

Highlands Tenpin assistant manager Diane McAusland said according to league rules, the final had to be held at a neutral venue.

"We are absolutely thrilled, we're ecstatic about it," she said.
"But it's daunting as well."

"SUNDAY WILL BE A TASTER FOR NEXT YEAR."

Sunday's game may kick-start a ten pin bowling revolution in the Highlands.

For the first time, the Highlands will enter a team, Mittagong Lions, in the NSW league in 2015.

Mittagong will also have division one and three teams in a Sydney-based competition, with some matches to be held at Highlands Tenpin.

Fittingly, the centre will celebrate its fifth anniversary next year.

"Sunday will be a taster for next year," McAusland said.

The NSW league final will get underway at 9am and is expected to finish by 1.30pm.

The match will be followed by the league's annual general meeting at the centre.

For more information, call Highlands Tenpin on 4871 1600.

Yep we just weren't good enough on the day, congrats to all the Shellharbour team, we had close contests all year but they blew us away on the weekend.

Always next season... and Welcome to the Mittagong Lions! (That sounds scary Luke, that's a good start) ;)
