Thankyou to everyone that competed, thanks also to Graham Rose from KEGEL who sponsored the High Game and Place awards.
CONGRATULATIONS to GEORGE FRILINGOS who made his way down from Queensland to bowl.
From an early "slow" start in qualifying he found his mark late yesterday and continued throughout most of the Matchplay averaging for the tournament a whopping 243!
His Silver medalist team mate in the recent Commonwealth Games Chris Castle put up a great showing finishing 86 pins behind averaging 239.
Local Kevin McRae never dropped beyond 3rd position and averaged 234.
Well done to the 300 shooters, today in Matchplay young Nathan Thompson bowled one and Wasa Hinchliffe and David Altman yesterday in qualifying.
Some exceptional bowling today and a good crowd was able to appreciate some awesome bowling.
On a number of occassions the first 8 strikes were up, getting the crowd on edge waiting for the big one.
WELL DONE AND WATCH OUT FOR THE MENTONE CUP 2012!
