this has happened about 5 or 6 times since the start of the season. and it seems to be getting worse. when it happened to me, we were going into the 10th frame of our first game and lost all our scores. we managed to remember what some scores were, but were told by the bowl staff that we would just have to deal with it. and once again, it only happened on the odd lane.

I agree with safado's "pen and paper" sentiment. Newer is not necessarily better.

The rule must be ammended for this situation.

I suggest something similar to:
When game(s) or frame(s) within a game are irretrievably lost in the scoring process, the following procedures shall apply:
1) All opposing compettitors must Rochambeau for the full points on offer for the game(s) in which the scoring failure occurred.
2) Team captains to decide whether the Rochambeau will take the traditional 'rock-paper-scissors' format or the better known and more popular 'south park' format.

well the manager kindly gave us 3 games each, which to me is the right thing to do.

the right thing to do is fix the issue if it is ongoing, not bribe the bowlers to shutup about it.

well for all those that bowl in the centre in question, cannington, its become a fact of life that problems just dont get fixed and propably will never!!
