Format:
Stage 1 – Qualifying:
All players will bowl 12 games in one squad appearance. Check-in will be 30 minutes prior to the advertised squad time.
Stage 2:
The top 24 players will bowl a further 6 games, with total pinfall from Stage 1 to carry over.
Stage 3 – Match play
Sponsored shirts will be provided to all match play finalists, and MUST be worn)
The top 12 bowlers will bowl 11 games of match play, with total pinfall to carry over from Stage 2, with 30 bonus pins for each game won, and 15 pins for a tie.
Stage 4 – Stepladder Finals:
The top 5 players from Stage 3 will contest the stepladder finals (Pinfall from Stage 3 is dropped).
Game 1: 5th vs 4th vs 3rd;
Game 2: Winner vs 2nd;
Game 3 & 4: Winner vs 1st, over a two game final match (Total pinfall over 2 games to determine the winner).

Saturday 11th: 8.00am Squad B reports

Tournament Rules
This scratch tournament is accredited by TBA, Accreditation No. A03/0004.
Open to all bowlers who are TBA registered players.
Only one entry per bowler will be permitted.
Check-in will take place 30 minutes prior to advertised starting times.
Appropriate attire must be worn at all times. A collared shirt should be worn. Jeans and tracksuits will not be permitted.
Players are to show their choice of squad on the entry form, and return it with the required deposit.
Qualifying will be in two game blocks, with 3 players per pair of lanes.
A one-game playoff (followed by 9th & 10th frame if needed) will be used to break any ties for positions as are required to adhere to the advertised format.
The TBA Code of Conduct will be applied during this event.
All TBA Rules and Regulations apply. Any matter not covered by these rules will be determined by the Tournament Committee, whose decision will be final.
Entry Fees:
All players are to pay an entry fee of $180. Entrants are requested to include a deposit of $60 (by cheque payable to Garden City New Year Open with their entry form to secure their spot.
