I guess it's up to the person, I don't sell any of my gear for more than $50...I believe all value goes out of a ball once drilled...I maybe wrong, but that's just me
 
plugging and redrilling a ball makes a huge difference two things are u are actually shifting the cg every time u plug and redrill holes makes it harder to map out a ball due to the shift in weight. and secondly where the plugging is generally placed can make the ball skid a little causing a over under reaction if where you drill the ball end up having the oil rings track on that plugging giving u a slight variation in readability and consistancy because that part of the ball is not made the same. covers are all made of different reactives so there can't b a universal filling for all balls there will b definate alteration in performance.
