Womens Masters Champion 2002 Narelle Baker
Mens Masters Champion 2002 Cameron Jenkins

2002 Victorian State Championships – Many thanks must go to Jan Solomon for volunteering her time to be Tournament Director for this year’s combined Adult/Junior State Championships.

Results have been correlated and uploaded to www.struc-plus.com/tbavic/default.htm. For those lucky enough to place, the cheques have been signed and if they are yet to reach you then “the cheque is in the mail”.

This year we received over 900 entries and once again we thank you for participating. As an enticement to centres to get their bowlers to compete at this year’s championships we offered them next year’s event if they could field the highest number of entries. The response was excellent and we are pleased to announce that Werribee SuperBowl will be our preferred event location in 2003.

Victorian Youth Circuit – The State Committee of Management have had some preliminary discussions on starting up a series of events for 2003 specifically for Youth Bowlers. Initially we want you to tell us if you’d be interested. Cast your expressions of interest on the forum at www.totalbowling.com.au. So far the response from this has been great and we already have one extra tournament planned for early in 2003 and with pending sponsorship we may even be able to rank this tournament.

Victorian Ladies Circuit – We’ve also had some preliminary discussions on a Ladies circuit (similar to the above) Cast your expressions of interest on the forum at www.totalbowling.com.au. Unlike youth, the reponse towards this has been poor. Come on girls!

Victorian Tenpin Bowling Committee of Management – over the past 6 months the Committee of Management have been formulating a new state structure in line with recommendations from TBAL. We have created a draft constitution which we plan to implement shortly. This will culminate with our inaugural AGM towards the end of this year. You, the bowlers, then get a chance to have your say so keep an eye out for nomination forms.
