Victorian Matt O'Brien captured his second gold medal of the Asian Schools championships this afternoon after taking out the Masters title, defeating Asian Rankings leader - 17 year old Wu Siu Hong from Hong Kong over two games 448-408 to become Australias first ever Asian Schools Masters champion.

In the taped for TV final, O'Brien defeated Malaysian Aaron Kong 205-204 in the first step ladder match after striking out, and Kong, needing a strike to tie - left an 8 pin on his last ball to lose by one.

In the final O'Brien won the first game 224-213, then with the confidence of an 11 pin buffer, won the second game convincingly 224-195, for an overall win 448-408.

Jayde Flanagan is Australias other hope this afternoon in the girls masters final. Flanagan has qualified 3rd for the step ladder final.
