This is a TBA Ltd Ranked Tournament. The tournament is open to all current TBA Registered Players. All TBA Ltd rules, regulations and Lane conditions and policies apply to the tournament. Ranking points will be granted after the tournament has been completed.
The tournament is based on 65 entries. The prizefund maybe increased or decreased based on this number. No bowler is permitted more than one (1) entry.
All bowlers are required to check in 30 minutes prior to commencement of their start times (this applies to all stages). Late arrivals for Stage 2 will be replaced with the highest available reserve.
STAGE 1—QUALIFYING
All bowlers will bowl 12 games in one appearance, bowling 3 persons to a pair of lanes (allowing for numbers). The 12 games will be bowled in 6 x 2 game blocks.
On completion of the qualifying the top 16men after Stage 1 will proceed to Stage 2.
STAGE 2—MATCHPLAY
Pinfall from Stage 1 is dropped.
The top 16 men will then play 15 games head to head in one game blocks, using the bonus system of 20 points for a win, 10 points for a draw and nil points for a loss.
Lanes will be washed and oiled before the commencement of play.
At the completion of the 15 games matchplay the bowler with the highest pinfall including bonus pins will be declared the 2006 Townsville Suncity Open Champion.
DRESS CODE: Collared shirts, dress pants, shorts and Skirts. Tracksuit pants and denim are not permitted.
There will be no smoking in the centre at any stage of the tournament. Any matter not listed herein is to be decided at the discretion of the Tournament Director.
