What should I expect from a new ball??

Well, 12 months on, and I couldn't have been happier with the gargoyle, since I started using it in may last year, my average has risen 23 pins, im more consistent with my scoring, and have hit more high games than with previous equipment, definately one happy camper here. Just got to get it...

QUESTION FOR THE 180-190 average bowler

I dont know enough about lane conditions to bother with it yet, our local centre (for me anyway, everyone always whinges about it changing) doesnt change, i rarely have to change anything in my approach or release. As for the other centres in my region, the only others ive bowled at are...

    Ball reaction change???

I didnt actually think of that, my hand doesnt move at all with the new wrist brace, with the old one it was that worn that it used to flex backwards, upon the swing (like 1-2cms), I find now that the hook is also alot more consistent

    Ball reaction change???

Hmm, I dunno, it actually feels as though im bowling a little faster, and somehow getting more revs, it could be too that when I hit the 3-2 board on the right that I hit go from oil-dry patch in a short space of time, knowing the local conditions, lol. Ill play around a bit in the next few...

    Ball reaction change???

Ive had my Visionary Violet Gargoyle for nearly 12 months now, and have just resumed bowling after the christmas break last week (and again tonight) and have noticed a very significant change in the way the ball reacts on the lanes. I have asked the centre about this, and they tell me that...

Disorganisation on the far north coast

I dont know if this happens anywhere else (ive never bowled competitively till I moved to lismore) but the disorganisation of local leagues and tournaments (namely by the people from my local lanes that are supposed to organise teams for tournaments) has me absolutely fed up with the sport...

What should I expect from a new ball??

Havent used it yet mate, havent had the chance to get it drilled, as the only local guys I want to go to are half an hour away, and I work 5 days a week, its a bit hard to get it done, im hoping to do it at some stage this week

What should I expect from a new ball??

Ive not long ago ordered my new ball, this is only the first one since I started with reactive balls, and ive no idea what to expect from it, ive got a small inkling, but as I havent bowled with it yet I dont know what its going to do The conditions on my home lanes vary somewhat, from...

    Bowling Idols

If I had to pick anyone that inspires me in the game (there are a lot of greats out there) Id have to pick my grandfather, nearly 80 years old and still averaging in the 150s

    Polish or Sand????

I try and go down the outside 3 or 4 board on the righthand side, so I need a reasonable backend reaction, last time I had it sanded it was great, so I might try that again.

    Polish or Sand????

Ive got a tournament in Port Macquarie on the weekend and Ive got to get something done to my ball beforehand, they've changed the oiling patterns at my home lanes and made them around the medium mark, as far as im aware the lanes we are going to be bowling on are pretty well oiled aswell (not...

Is it time to replace my ball?

That was what I was thinking, thanks.

Is it time to replace my ball?

Well the weekend was a steep learning curve for me to say the least. I bowl in Lismore of a thursday night, and, with the style I have (starting 2nd dot in from the right, going out over the 3 board, back into the 1-3 pocket or other side) it pretty easy as the lanes are light on for oil and...
