Jim, I think a big reason for the lawn bowls prize fund (as well as sponsorship obviously and that its televised regardless of skill level as you mentioned) is simply the registration fees. Im pretty sure its around $200 per year and I know of one ex state tenpin player who is now in the lawnies...

Mate its a tough gig but you will get to see a bit of the country side between jobs. My old head tech from Morley done it for awhile and loved it but as I say its hard work but you will learn heaps. Enjoy Baron

Brien, Tom is recovering after surgery from a burst appendix and wont be bowling for a little while. Unfortunately there is no tournament action over here at the minute only the Joondalup Cuo in March (fingers crossed) and some ATBSO stuff. Pretty quiet really. Baron
