HAZEL EAGLEN MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT

Hi Everyone

On Sunday 7 August there will be our annual fundraiser for our State Teams, the Hazel Eaglen Memorial Tournament at Mt Gravatt.

We have 23 teams bowling, so it should be a great day. It is a five man team with handicap, bowling 3 games and 2 baker games (no handicap). Previously, we have changed lanes after the first 3 games. This year we will be staying on the same lane, avoiding the hassles of changing lanes and as we are "seniors" avoiding cooling down with the delay.

Check in is 8.30 and we bowl at 9 am sharp. Mt Gravatt bowl will have all the names, handicap and lane draw - every team will be up on the screen when we arrive. Andrew will read out your lane draws after check in. If you haven't sent in a name for your team, unfortunately, I have given you one e.g. Jenny's team.

There will be cash prizes for the top teams, prizes during play for high games, secret scores etc.

Don't forget each team captain is to supply a wrapped prize for the competition.

Looking forward to a great day and good luck to everyone.

Cheers

First Place: 3722 Maurice's Marauders (Maurice Fadl, Brian Looby, Cameron Fadl, Harold Wilkinson, Jason Scott)
Second Place: 3713 Who Cares (Graham Hall, Steve Devlin, Nick Marsh, Anna Ales, Mark Senior)
Third Place: 3691 Nude Nuts (Brian Robinson, Bek Meads, Tegan Meads, Darren Suna, Darrin Comrie)
Fourth Place: 3618 Cannon Hill Shooters (Alex Blakeley, Ray Puddefoot, Arthur Anderson, Rachael Wingett, Jamie Blakeley)
Fifth Place: 3548 Nutty Crew (Dale, Robyn Holmes, Max, Gavin Bryan, Grant Otago)

A special thank you to Mt Gravatt Bowl for allowing us to hold the tournament there and a very special thank you to Sue Long and Kathy for all their help and support inputting the names, handicaps etc for the teams. Thank you to all the staff who were great.

Thank you again to all the bowlers and supporters who came along to help raise funds for our state teams. Our Nationals are being held on the Gold Coast this year at Burleigh Bowl from 2 to 12 September, so it would be great to see as many of you as possible there to support our Queensland teams.

Our next monthly tournament is being held at Capalaba on Sunday 16 October - look forward to seeing you there. Our first squad is nearly full, so get your names in early.

Cheers

Annie
