Hamilton has a new oiling machine

Hamilton has a new HVO Summit, and the pattern they currently have down is actually quite nice.

Asked the tech if I could have a look at the oiling pattern, so he printed off a sheet. Hardly any oil on the left, but I dont think there are many lefties with a heap of fingers anyway

With that in mind, perhaps TBNZ can consider hosting an event at the centre? It's obviously gone under a management change with the casino taking it over, so perhaps they could be approached to push the case of tournament bowling?

Hey Cameron, I worked on the machines at Hamilton back in '87. At that time, about 3 months after opening, it had 8230 machines. I got them running pretty well and left to instal a new centre in Dunedin. On our way to Dunedin we heard that the bowl had been fire bombed. The machines were wrecked and replaced with 8270's. It was a great place and good staff in those days. They also welcomed me warmly, me being an Aussie.Is the bowl still at Te Rapa near the racecourse I think. I still remember riding a bike through the cold and foggy mornings to work.
