Under 25's Grand National Eliminator

Hi Everyone,

I will have a entry form out shortly but I have created an Under 25's Event for this year and thought I would post it up to see how many were interested in participating. If you are interested you may start leaving your names and I will put your name down for the tournament all the info is below:

Entry Fee: $150
Capped at 36 Bowlers
$3000 Prize Fund
Date: 28th & 29th November

Format:

Saturday 28th
Stage 1: 36 Bowlers, Bowl 10 Games Qualifying
(Cut to Top 24, Pinfall Drops)
Sunday 29th
Stage 2: Top 24, Bowl 6 games
(Cut to Top 16, Pinfall Drops)
Stage 3: Top 16, Bowl 4 games
(Cut to Top 8, Pinfall Drops)
Stage 4: Top 8, Bowl 1 game Head to Head Double Elimination

Rules & Regs:

Females will receive 8 pins per game
All TBA Rules and Regs will apply
Participants cannot have reached the age of 25 before 1st January 2015

Prize Fund:
1st $750, 2nd $500, 3rd $400, 4th $350, 5th $250, 6th $250, 7th $200, 8th $200

Highest Game Male & Female out of Top 8 Receives $50 each.

We have put together a new format with the event based on 24 bowlers, we need all that are registed to confirm their entry and need to try and get to 24 within the next 2 weeks to confirm the running of this event.

Stage 1. 24 bowlers all bowl 10 games qualifying
Stage 2. top 12 bowl 6 games
Stage 3. top 8 bowl a 1 game double eliminator final.

Prize fund: 1st $750.00, 2nd $500.00, 3rd $400.00, 4th $300.00, 5th $200.00, 7th $100.00 and 8th $100.00. $2500.00 total prize money based on 24 entries.

Unfortunately we haven't reached the minimum numbers to run this event so will have to cancel, we will look at rescheduling it in the new year.

Hi Brian and Dylan
The new tournament format in cutting out a stage was a big improvement, which equates to less games and more prize money. It is a disappointment plus an opportunity lost for youth bowling that the youth entries in males and females weren't evident. The Topshots League spot is still in play, however the winner of this Topshots spot has the choice of converting this dollar value to a tournament spot of their choosing.
