Sad passing of a good bowling friend

It was with shock and sadness that we heard of the untimely death of Craig Johnson over the weekend.

Craig was a league bowler at Mooroolbark and had been a member of the MTBOV for a number of years. He was a kind and friendly person, a very good bowler, and an all round nice guy.

Craig had recently begun a career with the Ambulance Service, and he previously worked as a dealer at Crown Casino. This came in handy when the guys got together for card nights.

Condolences to Craig's mum and family, he will be sorely missed.

From Jane Finch and Ralph Harford.

I only ever talked to him a couple of times but he struck me as someone who enjoyed what he was doing out there, plus he wasn't too bad at it either! Deepest sympathies to all concerned.

Our condolensces to Craig's mum and his family.

We have known Craig for a long time.

We caught up with him at the Melbourne Cup (bowling) one year, ever since then we have stayed in contact through card games or the M.T.B.O.V.

We recently arranged to meet him at The Crown Casino between Christmas and New Year for a drink and a chat.

He was telling us how he moved into his new house and things were going really well with his job.

Craig will always be remember for his cheeky / smart little attitude and likeable nature.

We will miss him dearly.

Colin and Sue McKay

P.S: Go The Hawks in 2004!

Firstly our condolensces to Craig's mum and his family.

Bowling has lost one of the nice guys. He was always willing to give you that one useless piece of information about what you just did wrong. But that was what make Craig so likable. He always had a great sense of humor no matter what, good or bad.

He will be sadly missed at bowling in both league and tournaments.

From all the messages in the Herald Sun, it is obvious that he has touched a number of people, and we are very greatful to have been part of his life.

I am sure that a number of people will be attending Craig's service on Friday.
