19 bowlers made the journey to Gambier City Bowl to contest the first event held in Mount Gambier.

A big thanks goes to Dave Wyborn and his staff. They put on a good show (with the equipment available to them), giving of his time and dollars to facilitate us. The skins was fun on the night before, each of us getting the chance to score some cash before the main event....

The lanes were challenging, to say the least....but the local bowlers helped to build numbers, and were rewarded accordingly. Out of the 6 locals that supported us, 3 made the first cut. Troy Gaylard put together an outstanding 6-game block which saw him top-qualify with a 214 average. The only other bowler to manage the card was Ashley Warren.

Our eventual winner was Ashley Warren in a close one, edging out Troy Gaylard in the tenth frame. He put together a double in the tenth frame to get home, 191-187. Seemed 191 was the magic score, as both winners of the second stepladder final and the eventual winner scored 191??

Craig Coy took home $50 for his 6th game of 235, and in a nice twist of fate (for a change!) Olivia (one of David's control desk staff) drew Michael Tran as the winner of the lucky door prize. He gets $100 towards the cost of his next event!

Once again, congratulations to all that cashed. Our next event will be held at Salisbury Bowland. This will be a Skins event, so there will be a LOT of money to be won. Be on the lookout for entry forms in your local centre soon.
