If anybody can fill some gaps on the President shield pages on my site would be appreciated.

Hi Jan,

I've gone to your homepage and checked out the President Shield section.

Some of the gaps that I can fill are the venues in 1991 (Canberra), 1992 (Townsville), 1993 (Perth), 1994 (Gosford), 1995 (Brisbane), 1996 (Melbourne), 1997 Boys - Victoria Girls - North Queensland, 2000 (Canberra), 2001 (Mt Gravatt).

If you need to fill in the gaps of who was in the teams for the year 2000. Goto http://www.aobj.com.au and click on tournament info and then click on representative teams. To fill in the gaps for 1999, goto http://www.geocities.com/jekk21/ShieldList.html

The guys who were in the 1998 WA team: Shane Czerkasow, Ben Glasson, Craig Blachut, Aaron Hewitt, Darren Gibbs, Michael Fiedler, Damien Dayson. The girls who were in the 1998 WA team: Leigh Chalmers, Fiona McKay, Daniele Hughes, Marnie Young, Wendy Schneider, Karen Taylor, Kelly Hague.

The guys who were in the 1997 NT team: Troy McInnes, Michael Richardson, Jeffrey Horne, Jay Jukes, Trevor Kennedy, Dane Cuthbert, Scott McPherson. The girls who were in the 1997 NT team: Rebecca Dunbar, Daniele Hughes, Sharen Horne, Michelle Halprin, Shanyn McInnes, Trudi-Ann Ziersch, Bobbi-Jo Kalcher.

The guys who were in the 1995 NT team: Lee Tak, Mark Barnes, Byron Hatfield, Nathan Bunting, Michael Linke, Trevor Kennedy. The girls who were in the 1995 NT team: Jessica Jakeway, Laura Ziersch, Michelle Halprin, Sharen Horne, Daniele Hughes, Bobbi-Jo Kalcher, Sarah Hoffman.

Hope that helps.

Sorry mate but I would just like to point out a mistake you made. In 1998 nationals was at Gold Coast Superbowl and in 1999 it was at Salisbury SA.

You got them a tad mixed up but that is cool love.

Jan,

The 1999 South Queensland President's Shield Teams were:
GIRLS - Tammy Foat, Sarah Thuell, Jane Morton, Jayde Flanagan, Melissa King, Rebekah Meads and Natasha Brennan.
BOYS - Brandon Qualischefski, Robert Muller, Matthew Middlemiss, Brendon Heathwood, Jason Dougl***, Mark Ross-Smith and Gary Sullivan.

The 2000 Queensland Rachuig Men's Team was:
Ian Hughes, Michael Little, Brandon Qualischefski, David Turnage, Robert Muller, Damian McAndrew and Barry Fagg.

I remember some of the W.A team in 1982 in Moonah Tas. There was the following but I am sure there are gaps to be filled.

Boys:
Steve Wimbridge
Paul Evans
Colin Crawford
Derek or was it Darren) Glass
Brett Allen
Graeme Higgott

Girls:
Carol Gianotti
Kathy Rasmussen

My memory fails me for the rest.

I do remember Steve Wimbridge taking out the Australian Masters against American Don Bentz and myself representing Australia in the Koala Cup against the American Junior Team. I bowled a 244 that game and was the highlight of the event for me.

Some other things I remember from that tournament was getting a visit from Andrew Frawley. He was a lively lad back in those days and had several stories to tell about the other junior bowlers.
