Hi all,

I have an Ebonite Pro-Form Glove and it stinks like you can't believe.

It is mainly made of leather.

Does anyone have any tips on how to clean a leather glove?? I have sprayed inside it with Glen20 to try and help, but it didnt help too much.

Any cleaning tips would be appreciated. Otherwise i may just have to get a new one.

Once the smell is ingrained it is hard to move, I would suggest leaving it hanging somewhere to air - just not in the sun. May take a few hours, but probably your best hope. If that doesn't work, a gentle hand wash in warm soapy water - then air it.

Hope that helps........Max

The smell is from bacteria living in the glove and eating dead skincells and sweat. Try soaking in a weak solution of Dettol or similar antibacterial (try on a spot of the leather first, but I don't think Dettol affects leather).

Or, mild heat (50-60 deg for a couple of hours, tumble dryer) or leave it in the sun and let the UV do its job. Basically you need to sterilise it (or at least pasteurise :)).
