Have been bowling with the Columbia 300 Ransom for a few months now and i think this is another really good ball from Columbia 300. i went to the Singapore Open recently and with luggage weight restrictions could only take 4 balls and the Ransom was the first one packed. The pearl shell and 4000 polished finish clears the front end really well but the strong core means this ball still offers some good hook potential, especially with a pin below drilling as that will get it to pick up earlier in the midlane on the longer conditions. The ball offers really good carry percentage in the pocket which i look for when considering whether the ball is any good. A really good versatile ball that offers some hook on a bit of oil but definately really good on the medium conditions thanks to the pearl and 4000 finish.
