Jason Belmonte will be interviewed on ABC Radio's GRANDSTAND ACTIVE program this Saturday, 23 June.

The segment will be recorded close to the ABC studios at Manhattan SuperBowl in Mascot, and broadcast nationally at approximately 1.05pm AEST on Saturday afternoon.

Media interest has escalated after an outstanding series of performances by the young Australian bowler at national and international tournaments over the past six months. His successes include the Champion's title at the 7th Milo International All Stars and Captain of the winning 'Rest of the World' team at the inaugural Canon Cup in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the High Roller tournament in Las Vegas, USA, and the highly coveted Matchroom World Masters tournament in England where he rolled a perfect game in the final match of the televised grand-final.

Belmonte recently added another record to his career by winning the Melbourne Tenpin Cup for the third time, an unparalleled feat, and is currently the top-ranked male bowler in the sport's Asian Zone.

He will soon appear on Channel 10’s nationally televised program “Totally Wild” in a segment that profiles the sport of tenpin bowling and its appeal to young people.

This is one of several media appearances in which tenpin’s Aussie superstar is featured – FoxSports’ THE BACK PAGE was aired on 4 June, including clips from Belmonte’s stunning 300 game on the way to the Matchroom World Tenpin Masters title in Barnsley, England, and the network will commence its series of hourly programs from the World Tenpin Masters on 3 July.

Following the famous Italian Festival celebrated in Sydney each year, a segment on Jason’s bowling career will soon be aired on “The Italian Guide”, another nationally televised program that the producers describe as “fusing the best of all things Italian”. The half-hour program explores Italian lifestyle around the world by presenting engaging people of Italian background with stimulating stories, inspiring achievements and alternative points of view.

Asia’s premier industry magazine – ASIAN BOWLING DIGEST – is currently publishing a series entitled “On Tour with Belmo” highlighting both on and off-lane adventures of this popular young man as he travels to every corner of the world pursuing his career in the game he loves.

Belmonte is enjoying being home in Orange, in the mid-west of New South Wales after a five-week trip in which he successfully competed in Malaysia, The Philippines, Kuwait, England, Turkey, the United States and Sweden. His convincing win at the Melbourne Tenpin Cup on the Queen’s Birthday Long Weekend augurs well for his next overseas venture at the end of this month when he will return to Las Vegas, the venue of another spectacular win earlier in the year at the “High Roller” tournament.
