2006/2007 State League Grand Final

Well it's 3 in a row now for the Chester Hill Cougars as they downed the Campbelltown Crocs in the State League Final today held at Orange Tenpin Bowl.

It was a carnival like atmosphere at the Orange bowl as the two teams meet for the 3rd straight year in the final.

Singles: Things started of fairly even with only 2 points seperating them after the first 5 games until Cougars won the last singles games 5-1 and taking the 2 bonus points. Score after singles 23 - 15.

Doubles: The second games of the doubles proved to be the major turning point for the Crocs as they lost 11-1 and with that the double 25.5 - 12.5.

Teams: Knowing they only need 2 wins & a draw in the teams to shut-out the Crocs, the Cougars set-off. Winning the first game 9-7 and drawing the 2nd 8 all, Crocs took the bonus points by 4 pins.

Finals Score: Cougars 69.5 to Crocs 44.5.

Averages: Cougars 202 team avg, Crocs 195.

Congratulations to the Cougars on a great effort.

What a day!!!
This was my first year as part of the Cougars. It is certainly a great team to be part of.
As always a HUGE thanks to Aldo and all the staff at Orange Bowl, without a doubt the friendliest centre you will find. Also to Annette for looking after us bowlers with breakfast, drinks and Cherry Ripes ect. And finally to the guys from Campbelltown, a great team with some very passionate supporters. Im sure we will meet again at the pointy end of next season.
