Attention Avid Bowlers!
Looking for a great tournament to bowl in ... especially given the demise of the NSW Grand Prix Series?!?!?
Well, consider the 2005 BMW NSW Country Open!
You may have seen the entry forms already; and you may have seen a couple of previous postings in this Forum about the tournament as well
This is the 1st year that BMW have sponsored this great event (hence the naming rights!). Central West Prestige BMW in Orange have kicked in considerable $'s and are providing :-
a) for a 300 game; 2 night's accommodation at Sydney's Sheraton on the Park Hotel .. plus a BMW 760Li car to drive during your stay. And $1,000 spending money (courtesy of Brunswick Bowling Supplies)
* please note .. if more than 1 person bowls a 300 game during the tournament, then a 1 game roll-off will be bowled to determine the prize winner *
b) a magnficent trophy for the tournament winner (I'm told that the trophy is quite spectacular!)
c) also planned (and is still to be confirmed) .. is a marquee at Orange Bowl itself, to show off the latest 1 and 3 Series BMW's. And perhaps even a new 7 series as well.
Details about the tournament :-
Sat+Sun 23-24APR at Orange TenPin Bowl (Byng St, Orange)
10 games Qualifying on the Saturday; choose either Squad 1 (9.45 am check-in for a 10.00 am bowl) or Squad 2 (2.15 pm check-in for a 2.30 pm bowl)
Cuts to Top 32 who will bowl a further 6 games starting Sunday morning
Cuts to Top 16 who will bowl a further 4 games
Cuts to Top 8 who will bowl a further 4 games
* lane change EVERY game throughout the tournament, and carry over pinfall throughout as well *
THIS IS A GREAT TOURNAMENT! Now in its 13th year! Terrific format (Top 32 cut!), and it's always an excellent weekend of bowling and social activity.
