    Lexi Nicoll 300!!!!

Congratulations Lexi. Only wish I could have been there to see it. What a great setting to bowl your first 300. You deserve all the plaudits that come your way. Now the monkey is off your back there should be plenty more to come in the future.

The third round at Tuggeranong also clashes with state league. All the others appear to be okay though.

Hi John, Unfortunately I now have to work on Sunday. Can you please remove Brett Larman. Fingers crossed I can make the next one. Cheers.

QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup in Zagreb 15-24 Oct 2010

This was from the press release last year regarding the ranked calendar. The wording was a little unclear but it also gave me the impression that the representatives would be picked from the NSW open this year. "The South Pacific Classic will not be run in 2010. Much of the prestige around...

One of the scores has me intrigued and that is by the Japanese bowler. I must say I've never seen a game of 272 before.

    Sports Series December?????

I would be in if there was one on the 20th, but that may be getting too close to xmas for some others. At Chris said, the first two weekends clash. As well as youth cup on the 13th, it is also the second round of state league.

How to shatter a bowlers ambition

There have been some great points made both for and against having a minimum number of games, but Stephen I don't think it's fair to compare Rachuig with the NRL or A league. Why? Because the other two sports pay their participants extremely well, where ours have to pay to participate. I...

    NEWCASTLE CUP 2009

David, It's not important to me at all, as I am now not bowling in the tournament, but regular updates on squad listings are simply keeping everyone in the loop as to how the entries are going. Every other tournament I have entered in the last two years have given updated squad listings...

    NEWCASTLE CUP 2009

I did exactly that. I phoned the centre and was told there was 20 entries, and hence I decided to withdraw from the tournament. Seeing as though you don't seem to be able to accept the low number of entries and financial situation are related, let me clarify it for you. I have only been...

    NEWCASTLE CUP 2009

How you can presume to know the current financial situation of everyone who either has or hasn't put their name down for this tournament is beyond me. Is this how you encourage people who have withdrawn from this years tournament or have not even put their name down to enter next year...

    2009 NSWSS - Event 2 - Blacktown

Not only the number of withdrawals, but the number that didn't put their names down in the first place because the sports series was on the same weekend. Would be interesting to take a poll of the entrants for the sports series to see who would have entered the NC cup if it wasn't on the same...

    NEWCASTLE CUP 2009

and my response also crossed paths with yours.. Yes there is a big difference between 20 and 32. I bowled in the Newcastle Cup a couple of years ago when there were only 35, and had a great time. 20 though, is just not enough.

    NEWCASTLE CUP 2009

Michael, I called the centre yesterday and was told that there were approx. 20 entries, which is in conflict with your saying there are 32-33- , hence the need for an updated list and prize fund based on the number of entries received.

    NEWCASTLE CUP 2009

Chad, With all due respect, those comments should be coming from the tournament organisers or the centre. There have been no updates on here from them for over a week now. I phoned the centre yesterday myself and was told total number of entries was about 20, so unless there was a flood of...

    NEWCASTLE CUP 2009

Please remove me from the list. It has been over a week since any update has been provided for this tournament and with only 4 days to go that is way too long. There has been no update on tournament entries, prize fund or even whether the format would be changed due to the lower number of...

    NEWCASTLE CUP 2009

Looks like this tournament is really suffering at the hands of the sports series, which is going gangbusters. I know it's never easy to find a weekend to schedule an event, but looking at the list for the sports series I would suggest the decision to run this event on the same weekend has...

Will the recession make bowlers better?

You only have to look at the number of entries for this years Brunswick cup in Canberra for evidence that the hard times are biting. (61 this year)

    2008 Australian Cup

looks like a pretty high scoring condition, but disappointing turn out with only 61 entries. Obviously lots of people like myself, who just could not justify the expense this year. Congrats Neil on the 300.
