At last check: 80 entries 30 people getting paid ..... That works out to more than 1:3 What really is a shame to me is that when good people put in the effort to hold a tournament with seperate divisions, in an attempt to encourage more women bowlers, they are criticised. :confused...

I wonder why it is, that in the VAST majority of other sports, women do not compete against the men? Could it possibly be because it's not always a fair competition? At least 3 cents worth .. JM [-X

Personally I'm not fussed either way about the handicap idea. That said, I would suggest that the average man has an advantage from his superior strength. Overcoming dry lane conditions is certainly one area that strength can assist. Wrist strength is another potential advantage that average...

I might be just a tad biased ;) , but an 832 series at the Nationals by Albert Mazzoni was sensational to watch. 277 - 300 - 255 games with 28 consecutive strikes was pretty damn impressive (and made him top qualifier for Open Masters). And I finally got to be there for a 300 game...
